Bead artist hall of fame
The Beads of Courage Bead Artist Hall of Fame was established in February 2013 during the 10-year anniversary celebration for Beads of Courage, Inc. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize the contributions of bead artists in support of the mission of Beads of Courage, Inc.
The bead artist community is critical to the sustainability of the Beads of Courage organization. Bead artists contribute in significant ways and provide incredible service to the organization including:
- Ongoing donations of beads for programs
- Support for Beads of Courage, Inc. signature fundraisers in their community with engagement of community supporters for fundraising success
- Are a source of significant encouragement for Beads of Courage member children and families through various organizational initiatives
- Support the awareness activities of Beads of Courage, Inc. through innovative communication strategies
- Make financial or other in-kind donations that support the sustainability of the organization
Nominations for Hall of Fame candidates are accepted throughout the year by Beads of Courage, Inc. with induction of new members occurring annually during BOC’s Beads, Blues and Beer Festival. Each Beads of Courage Hall of Fame Bead Artist receives a collaborative art award that includes a lampwork bead made by award-winning Hall of Fame artist Margaret Zinser and a wood sculptural piece created by artist Mark Wallis.
