TEAM Beads of Courage
Give Hope. Honor Courage. CARRY A BEAD
First and most importantly, THANK YOU for considering joining TEAM Beads of Courage and for your support of our mission and having the Courage to Care for a child or teen coping with serious illness.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
Step One. Click on the link below and register to join TEAM BoC! You have a few different options to choose from:

Cycling (Limited Edition Beads in Space jersey)

Running (Orange with super wicking powers)

Regular T-Shirt (Brown with Beads of Courage logo) *coming soon*

Bead Kit Only (this is if you don't want a shirt, but still want to carry beads OR if you already have a shirt and want another Bead Kit OR if you are supporting a TEAM that's already in place
Step Two. While you are waiting for your kit to arrive, we would love for you to consider setting up an online fundraiser for your particular event. We've chosen to use www.crowdrise.org/TEAMbeadsofcourage as our online fundraising platform at this time. It's a creative way to showcase your passion for Beads of Courage while making fundraising a ton of fun. If you have any questions about setting up your fundraiser, just email ashley@beadsofcourage.org.
Step Three. After your kit arrives at your shipping address, you will receive a bag with a few items inside including:

2 matched handmade beads by a member of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers
-
an encouragement notecard to write a note to the child or teen you are setting forth on this journey in honor of
-
a TEAM Beads of Courage pewter charm (for you to keep!)

Stringing material and a large safety pin (you can decide if you want to wear them or pin them)
-
A super fabulous TEAM Beads of Courage shirt (unless you just wanted the Bead Kit ONLY)
Make sure you have a complete kit and then it is time for the journey of these beads to begin.
Step Four. Pick one of the beads to keep as a symbol of your willingness to make an intentional act of kindness for a child facing serious illness. The other bead is the bead that we would like for you to CARRY during your intentional TEAM Beads of Courage activity..whether it is a walk , a game-day, a run, a challenging hike, a bike race or a trip around the world. Whatever your event, bring your special TEAM Beads along with you. We believe that your good intentions and hope will be soaked up in this bead that will eventually bring a BOOST of enCOURAGEment to a child coping with serious illness who needs it the most.
Step Five. Upon completion of your intentional Beads of Courage activity, please write a few words of encouragement inside the provided Team Beads of Courage Encouragement Card. Be sure to include your name, team name (if appropriate) and location (city and state).
Step Six. Then, it is time for another journey! Please return the TEAM Bead and Encouragement Note to Beads of Courage Headquarters in Tucson, Arizona in the mailer provided. You are welcome to include any other items (pictures, postcards, and memorabilia) with the bead if you would like. Once received by Beads of Courage, all TEAM Beads continue their journey to one of 20,000 children coping with a serious illness participating in the Beads of Courage Program internationally.
