Robert Moore
Director
Rob is the Co-Founder and board member of maxIT Healthcare, the largest privately held healthcare IT consulting firm in the United States.  He is responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of the company and their Social Responsibility Project which identifies ways of giving back to the community in which the company serves.  He has over twenty-five years of operational experience helping hospitals and businesses be more operationally effective.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Business Analysis/Computer Science from Louisiana State University.  Rob lives in Cambria NY with his wife.  They have three boys.

 

Deb Gaustad
Director
Home Mortgage Consultant for Wells Fargo Mortgage in Pinetop, AZ. Founding Board Member & Treasurer for Beads of Courage. Prior services for non-profits include: Rotary Club, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Womens Council of Realtors. Deb lives in Pinetop, Arizona with her husband.



Laura Capello
Director
Manager of Community Relations and Special Projects, ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation & Consultant/Owner of Capello Marketing and Communications. Education: Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with minor in communications, Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ). Board member of Valley Leadership, Jobs for Arizona Graduates (JAG) and Tempe YMCA. Previous Director of Corporate and Community Relations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of
Central Arizona. Laura lives in Chandler, Arizona.




Barry Gribbon
Director
Barry Gribbon has served as Executive Producer and CEO at Homerun Entertainment since its inception in 2001 and oversees all development and television productions. Homerun has produced over 350 hours of television and web programming for cable networks including Food Network, DIY, Fine Living, Starz!, WE and Planet Green. Homerun also produces large, live events for non-profits and Hollywood organizations. Gribbon is a James Beard Award nominee, a Freddie award winner and multiple Telly Award winner. He was also honored with Heal the Bay's most covetous volunteer award called "Super Healer" and serves on their Board of Directors. Gribbon lives in Playa del Rey, California with his wife Jennifer, a partner in Homerun, and their two boys Lucas and Dylan.




Karen Hickey
Director and Treasurer
Karen currently works for UBS Financial Services, Inc. in Tucson, Arizona, where she holds a Series 7 and 63 license. She has worked in the financial industry for over 30 years. (18 years in Banking and 12 in Investments)  She has her BA from the University of Arizona in Elementary Education with a minor in Science.  Her love of children has taken her on 5 mission trips abroad working with children of American Missionaries, teaching Sunday School at her church, and spoiling her 2 grandchildren rotten.  Her hobbies include reading, planning family reunions, jewelry making and taking all types of glass classes.

Stefani Lawrence
Director
Director of Finance and Operations for the Banner Alzheimer’s Foundation, Banner Health Foundation. Previous experience as Director of Foundation Operations at Translational Genomics Research Institute and Director of Development Services for Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. Education: Masters of Arts, International Relations and Public Administration-Bosphorus
University, Istanbul Turkey; Bachelor of Arts-International Relations/German: University of St. Thomas-St. Paul Minnesota. Current affiliations: Junior League of Phoenix, Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, YME Breast Cancer Foundation (volunteer). Stefani lives in Chandler, Arizona.





Colin Smith RN CPON
Director, Chair Program Committee, Secretary
Registered Nurse, AFLAC Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Assistant Nursing Manager with concentration on professional development and program implementation. Colin is a member of the Pediatric Oncology Nursing Association (APON) and a founding member of the local APON of Georgia Chapter. Proud wife and mother of two beautiful boys, Tyler and Chase. Lives in Pittsburg, PA



Margaret Zinser MS
Director
Margaret is a renowned glass bead artist whose work has been featured in galleries throughout the US, Canada and Japan and in multiple artist publications including The Flow, Bead and Button, and Bead Unique. Margaret lives in Phoenix, Arizona and has her Master's degree in Entomology. Margaret has been a supporter of Beads of Courage for many years and was instrumental in the 2008 Beadathon benefiting Beads of Courage. Margaret is on the Board of Directors of Sonoran Glass Art Academy where she regularly teaches classes.







Victoria Plouffe, R. Psych., M.Sc., B.Ed.
Executive Director, Beads of Courage Canada
Registered Psychologist, Special Education Teacher and Lampwork Artist. Victoria has an extensive background working with children given her training in psychology and education. She has been able to assist children in meeting their highest potential through appropriate consultation, assessment, and intervention. Victoria recently relocated to Canada with her husband, Gordon, and two children, Hunter and Season. Victoria is also passionate about making lampwork beads and bringing the Beads of Courage programs to Canada!





Sarah Finecey
Director
Executive Director of Coyotes Charities. Education: Bachelor of Arts, Communication; Minor in Public Relations and Strategic Communications. Education: Arizona State University, Phoenix, AZ. Prior board and volunteer experience with Phoenix Children's Hospital, Make a Wish, Special Olympics, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Susan G. Komen, Flashes of Hope, and more.
Sarah lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Justin Stiefel
Director
Entrepreneur, Counselor and Advisor, partner in private consulting practice, Stiefel & Jones Consulting, LLC. His firm is focused on regional and federal issues related to Alaska, Washington State and Washington DC. Current responsibility as lead consultant to the Artic Cable Company, LLC. Juris Doctor degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho. He is a member of the Washington, DC and Alaska Bar Associations. Justin lives in Gig Harbor, WA with his family.
