Remember to LET YOURSELF BE SILLY with our all-new Laugh Bead!
The Laugh Bead (2nd in Series) was created from an original drawing by honored Beads of Courage member Tate Neubecker, age 10, at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in Oakland, California.
His design features a jolly jelly bean with a big red heart. Tate said, "'Laugh' means a jelly bean to me, with big open smiles." We hope this bead reminds you to let yourself be silly, to smile, laugh and have fun!
The design was translated into glass by Pennsylvania native and full-time artist, Jessica Rutherford. Jessica sells jewelry and handmade beads directly and through galleries, and works with kids in art education. She is a member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Pittsburgh and also Three River's Glass Beadmakers, a local chapter of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
Your purchase supports the mission of Beads of Courage, a 501(c)3 organization providing arts-in-medicine supportive care programs for children coping with cancer and other serious illness.
